PSIS doomed

Things have been quiet on the Semarang Dave front for a while. My one time PSIS correspondant used to bombard me with text messages and e mails when his heroes were doing well but things have been quiet of late.

Mathematically they're not down. They're guaranteed a bottom four finish which means they could end up in a play off spot against the 4th best team from the IPL. But they won't.

Persita could also escape. They have two more games and winning both could see them climb out of the bottom four depending on other results. But they won't.

The other two places are being scrapped over by Deltras, PSMS and Persitara. Deltras have three games left including the next two against Persija and Persib. PSMS impressed first half last night against felow scrappers Persitara and the North Sumatra side have games in hand on their rivals. But, like their rivals, they have other commitments with Copa Indonesia and of course an AFC Cup run. Will it be all too much for the Medan giants?

PKT sit 13th on 31 points and have two games at home to end the season. They should be safe...

14 - Persitara 31 7 9 15 32-45 30
15 - PSMS 30 5 12 13 37-46 27
16 - Deltras 31 6 8 17 24-45 26
17 - Persita 32 6 7 19 24-58 25
18 - PSIS 4 8 19 17-54 20
