Sergio van Dijk to Indonesia?

That Dutch striker with some Indonesian blood has had a pretty good season in Australia with Queensland Roar where he is apparently contracted till 2010. But according to this story it hasn't stopped Indonesian clubs sniffing round.

Among the sniffers are both double winners Sriwijaya and Pelita Jaya.

How will it end? Who knows but the way he talks about English and Greek clubs being interested in him suggests he is just floating a few balloons and seeing who bites.

Comments:
I don't know how it might end - there's been nothing in the press here so far suggesting any possible moves by Van Dijk. He seems pretty adamant in the article though, that he won't be moving to play in Indonesia.

Interesting - given the financial difficulties that Queensland Roar (soon to be re-named Brisbane Roar) appear to be in. It seems that Football Federation Australia may be about to take over up to 55% of the club in a bid to ensure its long-term survival by trying to attract new investors.

Van Dijk did well last year - especially the second half of the season - and I am sure Brisbane wouldn't really want to lose him unless they were going to be able to get a whopping transfer fee!

like i said i think it s just the agent looking to cash in on a one season wonder...rather like adebayor last year!
