DPMM top of the league

DPMM v Sengkang Punggol 1-0 (Shahrazen) 9,081

Pre season all the publicity from Singapore was about the free spending Sengkang Punggol. Everybody overlooked the last minute arrivals DPMM. But now the Brunei side sit top of the SLeague, admittedly having played a game more than their rivals, and still unbeaten after six games. But seven goals isn't title winning form...is it?

1. DPMM 6 4 2 0 7-3 14
2. Gombak 5 4 1 0 7-1 13
3. SAF 5 4 0 1 12-5 12
4. Tampines 5 2 3 0 7-3 9

And Sengkang Punggol? Back in familiar territory second bottom with four points and five goals from their six games.

Oh, and check out that attendance! DPMM are putting the rest of the SLeague to shame with the crowds they are pulling.

Comments:
Up to now, their early form is similar to Super Reds last season: winning by narrow margin with late goals.

I wouldn't say that's title winning performances yet, though a top-4 finish is still well on-track...
